When is the festival?

The 4th Annual Kansas City Chocolate Festival is Saturday, October 11th, 2008, 9:00am — 5:00pm.

What’s there to do?

Guests enjoy samples of treats from Kansas City and surrounding area chocolate vendors. There are demonstrations from locally renowned pastry chefs, chocolate sculptures, silent auction, raffle items and a bunch of activities and performances for the entire family to enjoy.

Should I bring the kids?

You bet. There will be lots of carnival-like activities and entertainment that the kids will enjoy including a dunking tank, face painting, bean-bag toss and fishing for chocolate.

How much is admission?

$8 at the door, kids four and under are free. Anyway you look at it, it’s a small price to pay for so much chocolate fun!

Where is the Festival?

The 4th Annual Kansas City Chocolate Festival is at the Overland Park Convention Center this year, just off of College Boulevard and Nall.

How much does parking cost at the Overland Park Convention Center?

Parking is FREE. The Overland Park Convention Center has 1,400 FREE parking spaces within the complex, 400 of which are covered.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes. Although it’ll be hard to keep a tiny tike strapped in with all there is to do at the festival!

Will there be an ATM at the festival?

There will be an ATM inside the festival as well as another in the lobby of the Overland Park Convention Center.

Will there be First Aid on site?

Of course. And we know just how to handle Chocolate-induced illnesses. How can I help?

We’re always looking for volunteers, sponsors and donations. Just fill out a volunteer or a donation form and you’re already helping us make a difference. Or if you’d like to become a sponsor, you can download a sponsor information packet and contact us.

I’d like to be a Vendor, how do I apply?

We’re accepting vendor applications through August 29th, 2008. You can download a Vendor Information Packet, which includes a Vendor application that you can mail in.

How do I enter the Sculpture Competition?

We’re accepting sculpture applications through September 19th, 2008. You can download a Sculpture Show Information Packet, which includes a Sculpture Show application that you can mail in.

I have some cool photos I took at last year’s event — would you like them?

Sure. Send us your photos and we’ll post them in our Photo Gallery. We love to share people having a good time with chocolate.

I have a question that you didn’t answer here. What do I do?
